Worry On MombatĪnyone who's played any of the previous Mortal Kombat games (apart, that is, from the godawful MK Mythologies, which made even Mortal Kombat Trilogy look good) will be able to get straight in and start playing MK4. Familiar faces from the previous games make a comeback, some from beyond the grave, and a few new bugs pop up to make their play for a part in the next sequeL It's basically business as usual. Once again, the evil forces of the Outwortd are trying to take over the Earth, the fate of the planet being decided by a bout of fisticuffs in the traditional manner. Mortal Kombat 4 is the latest, but almost certainly not last, addition to the series. but the underlying game itself is all but identical to that in the first arcade version. Sure, more characters have been added, the signature 'fatalities' have been spruced up and made ever more ludicrous with each new incarnation, and now the franchise has made its first steps into the third dimension. Mortal Kombat has been around in its various guises for most of the millennium's closing decade, and it hasn't changed a bit. Wh-kishl Wh-kish! What's that noise? It's the sound of a deceased horse being soundly flogged, that's what. But will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana-the immense power from within his soul-in time to save not only his family but to stop Outworld once and for all? - Warner Bros.Saints preserve us, another Mortal Kombat game. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Kung Lao (Max Huang) and rogue mercenary Kano (Josh Lawson), as he prepares to stand with Earth's greatest champions against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe. Soon, he finds himself at the temple of Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), an Elder God and the protector of Earthrealm, who grants sanctuary to those who bear the mark.
Fearing for his family's safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee) at the direction of Jax (Mehcad Brooks), a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking Cole was born with. MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan), accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage-or why Outworld's Emperor Shang Tsung (Chin Han) has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down.
